WHY GROW GULMOHAR TREES        IN DELHI Ozone was not a huge problem earlier but has now emerged as a serious health hazard in delhi . Harmful particulates and other gaseous pollutants are peaking due to increase in traffic . We need to come up with a solution to check the growing pollution and one of it is to grow gulmohar trees.  Gulmohar has high capacity to absorb pollutants and thus acts as buffer against air pollution.

The modern technology has indeed harmed the environment. For the sake of progress we mar the beauty of nature with perennial  scars. As said by the Father of Nation, “What ever we are doing to the nature is nothing but just a mirror reflection of what we are doing to ourselves and to the others.” To perceive this fact, the committed people belonging to DAV fraternity have taken the initiative to save the planet and as it is said, “The journey of thousand miles begins with a single step” we have under taken  this mammoth task of Tree Plantation by planting trees and medicinal plants in and around our school premises . The project also includes taking pledge for saving the environment, skits, games and  Nature March .Our school is deeply committed for this n
